Registration : Graham Sowa
Graham was introduced to African Debate during his time in Botswana studying for a Masters degree in Public Administration at the University of Botswana. As a champion caliber debater during his high school years in Texas, Graham has a firm understanding of the processes and challenges of hosting a debate tournament. During his time on the organizing committee for both the first and second PAUDC, he has mastered the art of "getting things done" when everyone else seems to be sleeping on their desks because it is "too hot to work right now" or "I was out at the Lizard Lounge and am too hung over to work today, come back tomorrow". Graham is currently enrolled as a Medical Student at The Latin American School of Medicine, in Havana, and is looking forward to coming back to Botswana to party, see old friends, and most importantly host one of the greatest tournaments the debate world has to offer.

Media Director : Kate Stegeman
Some might refer to Ms Stegeman as a hack. She likes to think of herself as a veteran… Veteran connoisseur of yakka*, that is. She’s dabbled is a bit of debating too over the years. Once upon a time Kate adjudicated a Worlds final. But that was a long time ago in a place far away. She was also had the honour of being the token African representative judge at Euros in Istanbul, as well as representing Rhodes University (South Africa) as a speaker, adjudicator and schools coach at various national and international competitions.
Kate has an MSc in Violence, Conflict & Development from The School of Oriental & African Studies. She works as a freelance journalist in South Africa in both the print and televisions mediums. As well as being in charge of publicity for Bots Worlds, she is making a documentary on the competition. So be nice to her. Tell her she looks young and nothing like a hack. And ply her with yakka. Then she'll make you look good on camera.
*delicious lime flavoured alcoholic brew served at the yakka party, traditionally hosted by the South African delegation at Worlds.
